Sanctuary City of Heroes Server Introduces New Powersets

The Sanctuary City of Heroes server has introduced some new powersets in their New Year update. This update has brought two new powersets to their Enforcer archetype, Warshade Assault as a primary and Plant Expert as a secondary. There are also a number of different powersets being ported around and some changes to powersets. For those interested here are the full patch notes.

 

February 9th New Years Update

Anarchist T9 “The Handshake” has been removed and in its place is “Molotov Cocktail”.

 

Commander (for Masterminds) has been updated to correct some of the issues that were reported.

 

Enforcer Mastery’s have been updated so they should be selectable now.

 

Absolute Strength’s Beam Sweep’s animation has been corrected.

 

 

Tankers and Brutes

Energy Aura has been ported to Tankers with a brand new mechanic on one of its powers exclusive to Sanctuary and Union/Unity.

 

Energy Melee’s Total Focus has been turned into a PBAoE.

(Scrappers get Energy Melee ported to them).

 

Trick Arrow

Ice Arrow has had a 1% damage buff added to it.

EMP Arrow recharge time lowered from 300 seconds to 180 seconds.

Endurance cost lowered from 23.4 to 15.6.

EMP Arrow now has the ability to debuff the damage of all

enemies that get hit with this power, the effect of this power is similar to Heat Exhaustion.

Flash Arrow has had a 1% damage buff added to it.

Acid Arrow damage has been raised from 0.01 to 0.5.

 

 

Scrappers

Certain Scrapper T9 shields have been changed to give those particular powersets incentive to picking them and also match performance wise or similar to other sets.

 

Dark Armor

Cloak Of Fear now costs no endurance.

Soul Transfer now can be activated when alive and has a mag 3 fear effect, in addition to that soul transfer will have a 30 second effect similarto Darkest Night to foes nearby.

 

Fire Aura

Rise Of The Phoenix now has an effect similar to Heat Exhaustion, enemies will be debuffed in close proximity of the player.

 

Invulnerability

Unstoppable’s cooldown has been lowered from 1000 seconds to 480, endurance cost raised from 2.6 to 10.4 and now lasts 90 seconds instead of 180 and the crash at the end has been removed to keep it inline with other T9’s for scrappers.

 

 

Energy Aura

Overload’s cooldown has also been lowered from 1000 seconds to 480, endurance cost raised from 2.6 to 10.4 and now lasts 90 seconds instead of 180 and the crash at the end has been removed to keep it inline with other T9’s for scrappers.

 

Shield Defense

One With The Shield’ cooldown has been increased from 360 seconds to 480, endurance cost raised from 2.6 to 10.4 and now lasts 90 seconds instead of 120 and the crash at the end has been removed to keep it inline with other T9’s for scrappers.

 

Willpower

Strength of Will’s cooldown has been increased from 300 seconds to 480, endurance cost raised from 2.6 to 10.4 and now lasts 90 seconds instead of 120 and the crash at the end has been removed to keep it inline with other T9’s for scrappers.

Scrappers also get Stone Melee ported to them.

 

Poison Blast

Poison Blast has been overhauled, animation and power wise to make it more useful and fix the issues it was having, 2 new mechanics have made it into the set, these are:

Infection – Every AoE power has the chance to give the enemay Infection, this adds more toxic damage on top of the power and can be stackable.

Vomiting – every power has a small chance to cause the enemy to vomit uncontrollable.

Poison Blast has now been ported to Corruptors

 

 

New Powersets

Enforcers get 2 new powersets, they are Warshade Assault (Primary) and Plant Expert (Secondary).

 

Scrappers get Illusion Armor, this has some unique animations and a set that fits heavily in the lore of COH, you can use your power of Illusion to create protective shields or even summon decoys of yourself to fight for you (This is quite experimental as one of the powers needs a look at).

 

Controllers get Psionic Control, this set has alot of work done to it with new animations, and a new mechanic called “Migraine!” every power has a chance to cause the enemy to suffer Migraine! a prompt on the screen should tell you when this happens, this causes more psionic damage and for them to be held during this phase.

 

Psionic Control has been ported to Dominators as well.

 

 

Might Assault (Super Strength) has been ported and modified to fit with the Dominator, this is a particularly new set but has reminiscent powers of its bigger brother, Super Strength!

A lot of other fixes and tweaks made it in including damage buffs to underperforming Blaster Primaries.

 

Stone Melee has been ported to Scrappers.
