This weekend is the ever-popular, word renowned San Diego Comic-Con and that might just mean some Marvel Phase Four news. At least I have my fingers crossed it does. For the first time in a decade, we have no idea what is coming next for Marvel and that is both exciting and a little bit worrying.
Rumors have been flying that Chris Hemsworth has renewed his contract with Marvel. We know already that there will be another Guardians of the Galaxy movie. But what else do we really know? After the massive shakeup of Endgame, nothing seems certain anymore. What does the MCU look like post-Iron Man and Captain America?
So, what should we all be keeping an eye out for at Comic-Con this year? Here’s a list of of the movies that are already announced and in the works:
Black Panther Sequel
Doctor Strange Sequel
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
We also have the following tv series that are confirmed:
Marvel’s Runaways Season 3
Marvel’s Ghost Rider
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Untitled Hawkeye Series
There are also a lot of rumors and speculation floating around about other movies, any of these might be at San Diego Comic-Con.
Ant-Man and the Wasp Sequel
Captain Marvel Sequel
Spider-Man Sequel (Highly unlikely so soon after the most recent)
Thor: Ragnarok Sequel
Some of these rumored movies come from what is generally considered a very reliable source after they accurately “predicted” key plot points from Endgame.
Now, not all of these are going to end up in Phase 4 of course. That’s just too many movies for one phase. So far the largest has been phase 3 which consisted of 11 films. This list has 14….which actually isn’t all that much of a stretch. Might these 14 movies be our Marvel Phase 4? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Be sure to check back over the weekend because when Marvel releases their plan I’m planning to put another article together talking about the movies that were announced.
